# I started a personal site

I rebuilt my personal site, moving away from WordPress.

WordPress is convenient, but for a site I only touch occasionally, keeping up with things like security updates felt like a bit too much. Another reason for the rebuild was that my side projects started to need proper terms of service and privacy policies.

I had wanted to deploy on Cloudflare, which I've liked for a while, so this time I went with Astro. Starting from a template and refining it together with Codex, I got it to the point where it's ready to publish.

Going forward, I plan to host files like Apple's `apple-app-site-association` here, and to write about what I learn from personal projects, along with notes to myself for when something comes up.
